Brian Nicols found today in an aparment complex 15 miles from Alantia G. Police has him IN CUSTODY. So all you georgians can rest.

Thank god

Nichols is also accused of killing a custom agent while on the run. Truck of the custom agent found at complex.

I'M WATCHING IT ON CNN ... NOW 4 MURDERS ... JUST AWFUL..

I keep thinking the could have at least left his feet shackled for his court appearance yestarday. Also they only had one single officer bring him to court, and it was a female.. Now here is a MONSTER that has been convicted of a BRUTAL RAPE ON A GIRLFRIEND HE HAD FOR SEVEN YEARS.... He obviously has issues with WOMEN... he is a big man.. just don't understand the 1 officer on him, be it a female or male.????

If they would have had his feet shackled he still may have got the gun, and kill the guard.. But the MONSTER wouldn't have been able to get very far in the ankle shackles... All this happened as there were gettting him ready for court, putting him in civilian clothes.. HE COULD HAVE SAT AT THE DEFENSE DESK IN COURT WITH ANKLE SHACKLES NO PROBLEM.. :-5 :-5

I'm with you, Carla. ONE officer?!??!? 51 years old and five foot tall?

Regardless, they should have had TWO, even a 6 footer 200 pound

it seems to me would STILL get a back-up!!

Especially since they'd found 2 shivs on him 2 days before.

I saw Nancy Grace on Larry King last night, she was pretty upset, I

guess she worked with these people and was friends with them.

One of the court reporter's friends/coworkers was on, too, and she

said last year when she had used up all her sick leave due to cancer,

the court reporter gave her her vacation time! To lose a truly GOOD

human being like that... awful.

I'm just glad they caught him before even more people lost their lives.

Wanna bet they keep him shackled ALL the time now?!?!?

there were a lot of errors here that are going to be addressed by the sheriff dept. for sure. because of the shanks the judge had the option to keep him cuffed and shackled in court, he had de facto given up that privilege,there is no LAW that says he can't be cuffed in court, i have seen people with their mouth duct-taped in court. or even forced to watch the proceedings on closed circuit tv. the judge made a fatal error. and one deputy alone with this guy? regardless of age or gender. we undergo inservice training all the time in weapon retention, and our guns are double-snapped and strapped in our holsters, there is no easy way for someone to grab our guns.if someone went for my gun they are going to have to KILL me to get it because i am going to fight tooth and nail.that is beaten into us!

NOTE...in my jurisdiction if an inmate is deemed dangerous he is made to wear a red shirt and MUST have two officers with him at all times he is out of his cell. this basic stuff.he should have been a red shirt the minute those shanks were found.

I saw the press conference over here on FOX (unfair and unbalanced), the Fulton county sheriff had a rather doleful mein about him, and so he should, his excuse was I have only been in the job for 2 months and we are reviewing our procedures.

I dont know how true it is but Fox were saying as of Sunday morning the female deputy may not have been shot but beaten so badly it appeared so, it transpires that she put up a hell of a fight to resist the taking of her weapon. I am with LC on this why was the guy not shackled ? I believe that the discovery of shanks would have made him a "RedShirt" and subject to tighter methods of control. All that said at least they have him now and I presume this will be a DP case.

Brian Nichols went to court today in Black and with hand cuff's and leg irons. when asked by the judge if he had anything to say. He said not at this time your honor. The rape case has been put on hold and nichols remains in Custody awaiting an iditment for four Murders that occured over the weekend.

As for ashley, she still as not recieved a peeny of the reward money. :-5 That's what I be doing if I was her.
