Sorry to hear about this NV, I hope she gets better. Or at least isn't suffering.:-1
I wish she had too. She said puppy so I'm assuming it's a young dog.

Oh that makes me so sad. I wish NV had given us more info too.

That is so hard. Sometimes all you can do is just hold them.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is a tragic and difficult thing. I lost my dog about three weeks ago. She went through some tough times with me and was like a best friend. It has been very difficult to get used to not having her around anymore. I hope you are OK.

Zinky, I am so sorry. Loosing a pet is so difficult!

I lost a cat 10 years ago, he was 13 years old. We burried him under the Crab Apple tree at my mother's house. He ahs a little monument and every thing. i put the swing beside it and when I vistt Mom I visit Mikey too. We hang out and I read a book or something. I loved that cat. I stayed home from school the day he was born, i stayed home from work the day that he died.

It's funny -- having animals is such a two-way street. They bring us so much joy and we get to provide a loving and nurturing environment for them in which to thrive.

It's a beautiful thing :-6

STRAY CAT

by Francis Witham

Oh, what unhappy twist of fate

Has brought you homeless to my gate?

The gate where once another stood

To beg for shelter, warmth, and food

For from that day I ceased to be

The master of my destiny.

While he, with purr and velvet paw

Became within my house the law.

He scratched the furniture and shed

And claimed the middle of my bed.

He ruled in arrogance and pride

And broke my heart the day he died.

So if you really think, oh Cat,

I'd willingly relive all that

Because you come forlorn and thin

Well...don't just stand there...Come on in!

It's the same with dogs too! :-6

tmbsgrl wrote: I've lost a few animals in my lifetime. One was a Black lab mix. Her name was Baby- I got her when I was 5 and she died when I 17 years old. It was one of the hardest days I've had to live through. She went through a lot with me. I still have her picture in my wallet. & I still miss her. Baby evetually had puppies & we kept 2 of them.. For some reason my dad trained them to hate other people & animals. Hondo (I know crazy name) was my favorite.. He was a Border Collie/lab mix & then there was Barney his brother was a Sheepdog/lab mix.. We had to euthenize them both when my parents divorced. I couldn't take them because my fiance and I lived in an apartment that didn't allow animals & my dad moved in with his sister who already had a Great Dane and a Rottie. I cried so hard when they left me. I'll never forget that day. ever.. If I think about it I cry.. & it has been about 7 or more years. I miss them everyday!:-1

You euthanized two dogs because no one wanted them? I don't understand.

We always refer to Tamsen as our puppy so I think ACC is right.

help each other through this.

Get back here and please let us know as soon as you feel up to it,

Her dog Kayla is 12 years old... at least she was earlier this year.

I'm hoping against hope that she's just under the weather and

they can get her help...

Do you have pets now?

I have a terribly spoiled cat, Veruka, and a little dapple dachshund named Ripple

Great pics! Love the red cat! My Veruka is a red tabby.

Wow, two hounds. Do they bay at night?
