....on a perfectly ripe bosc pear, the spring breeze is blowing through my house, I have the next 2 days off, I'm here yakking with my friends and in a little while I'm going to hop on the bike and cruise to nowhere in particular. Could my day GET any better? I'm thinkin'....NOPE!! :yh_bigsmi

I was surprised when I found them too, Val. They were still a bit hard, but 2 days in a paper bag on my counter, and....ahhh....perfection. The kind of "juice-running-down-your-chin-and-hands" perfection. Pure bliss.

Ahhh....it's not the time off that is the best. It's the anticipation of time off! That period at the begining of a vaction where free time stretches before you.

I put a pork roast in the slow cooker this morning...its falling apart now

shortly I will shred it cook some white rice, pinto beans and roll it all up with cheese in a flour tortilla

pears are ok

but life could be better
