LC;

When do you think the DA or the investigators will release a possible motive to the public? Will we have to wait for her trial to find out any details? What has been people's general consensus regarding theories? Domestic Abuse? INfedelity?

she had a simple arraignment yesterday, where the charges were read to her. nothing more. a probable cause hearing is scheduled for thursday morning, which is where you get more info. however, the DA can opt to not put out any info publically and send it to a grand jury, who can indict or not. then it would all come out at trial. the police have said it was NOT infidelity, but they are playing all other info very close to the vest.

insanity, as a legal term, does not mean actually nuts. it means did not have the capacity of knowing right from wrong at the time of the incident. very very difficult to prove in court. and it puts the burden on the defense. it almost never flies, despite popular drama. my opinion is,while only knowing the barest of facts, that if she cared about her kids she wouldn't have shot their father in the back while they were in the house. if it comes out he was abusing the little girls, that's about the only excuse i could accept. even then, there are less drastic methods to ensure their safety.

SELMER, Tennessee (CNN) -- Mary Winkler, accused in the killing of her preacher husband, waived a public hearing Thursday so her three children don't have to hear "gruesome things" about their father's death, one of her attorneys said. .............................this screams defense lawyer. they didn't want a public PC hearing because then some facts would come out. same with neil entwistle, the scheduled PC hearing was cancelled and thrown to the grand jury. all star chamber stuff.

flopstock wrote: Not really, if you stop and think about it.:thinking:i get your point Floops (and glad to see you out on the forum you games maniac!) , but she effectively made orphans out of her kids in one fell swoop. probably not the best thing for their mental health.

if he was abusing them, and that is purely unfair speculation, then she deserves a medal. see, that's the problem....let these things go public so there won't be unfair speculation.

yes. but i really want to be careful here. nobody has said he abused the kids. what if she just shot him twice in the back 'cause she had PMS? THAT i could fathom. i know this, she's on a suicide watch and can't even pee without being observed.
