Hmmm...so completely disregarding a cultural belief, a spiritual belief these Indians hold sits ok with you?

That's true? Then I don't understand this at all. What else do you have on this, Scrat?

Years ago this was a big controversy because everyone was trying to figure out what to do with him. I read that the tribe was split, the winning faction saying that he was an incarnation of their late chief. The rest of the tribe wanted to have a barbecue on the beach with him as the guest of honor, relocate him or didn't care at all.
Thank you, you answered my question. The tribe was split, when I thought they were united in their belief that this whale embodied the spirit of Ambrose Maquinna, and that spiritual thought should have been given consideration. The fact that the tribe was split in the belief, answers my question.

It's all moot anyway, sadly. Luna is dead. :(

Sue?? How and whom do they plan on bringing a lawsuit against? It was an accident. It's not like someone took off after the poor animal and said "Let's grind this thing to chum." WTF?? Yet another pointless lawsuit to clog up an already overwhelmed system. :-5
