this poor excuse for a father got out of prison so he could donate a desperately-needed kidney to his son. but instead, he took off to mexico with his girlfriend, who also has warrants out. both of them have been put on the US Marshals most wanted list. his own mother is horrified and upset, his poor son is heartbroken. i hope these two are dragged kicking and screaming back to the US soon. ......CNN.com - Fugitive dad leaves sick son on dialysis - Mar 3, 2006...i want to know how he can live with himself.

Parents who USE their children have I guess always been with us. Like the ones who disfigure their kids to make them into better beggars.
A case here haunts me. A mother !!!! shaved her young daughter's head and half starved her, told the kid and the kid's school she had advanced cancer (tricked the dad into believing it too) - and asked newspapers etc to do articles on her to raise money for treatment. People were kind. And the family got counselling etc.
When the little girl didn't die or appear to get worse, the school started to make some enquiries, and the truth finally emerged. I missed the details of what happened after that - but the story haunts me.
