Nerve regeneration

Post by nvalleyvee »

I felt like a danged hypochondriac. I discovered I am not. When I had my mastectomy I lost all feeling from the shoulder blade to the sternum and from my shoulder to my elbow and for about 9 inches from my armpit down on my side. The past 3 months I've regained feeling in leaps and bounds. I always expected it to start at the skin but it has started deeper than that. I still can't feel a lot of my skin but the rest of it is like when your arm goes to sleep and starts waking up.

I know this isn't a thread you can readily reply to but I am sure many of you have had surgeries that caused you wierd recoveries.

Glad the feeling's coming back. I had orthoscopic surgery a little while back & had the same thing around those little cuts. Must be really weird over a large area.
