But a singer out on an edge of her own, I thought. Quite clearly herself and sounding like no other performer.

Someone who added value to life.

An amazing singer indeed (although I did prefer Peggy Seeger's version of "The First Time That Ever I Saw Your Face", after all, it was written specifically for her).
