I'm concerned at the mounting prices at events in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
I tried booking two seats (Orchestra L118/9) for tomorrow's performance of Crime and Punishment (Wednesday Feb 12 2025, 07:30 PM, Opera House) and, including the $40 booking price (which is outrageous and unjustified), the cost came to $301.
That suggests to me that most people in Washington DC are financially barred from regular attendance. It compares poorly with prices at the London Barbican or the National Theatre. The prices in Washington are elitist.
Something should be done.

When flower power came along I stood for Human Rights, marched around for peace and freedom, had some nooky every night - we took it serious.

Re: The Kennedy Center
Well, The Kennedy Center is a pretty high falutin' place these days, or was until The Donald took it over. Try again in a couple months. He says he's going to give the place some class.spot wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 1:57 am I'm concerned at the mounting prices at events in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
