ForumGarden's Birthday

Post by ForumGarden »

Warsai,

Hard to believe but FG was officially launched on August 5th, 2004. A few more days and we'll be at our 1 month anniversary. :)

Thanks to all of you, we are already at 3000 posts. Quite amazing. Quite an amazing group of members. We are looking forward to many years of discussions, fun, and new friends.

Staff

I note the anniversary. It's now twenty years since the site opened for registrations, plus a few weeks.

Much water has been passed under the bridge since then. None who were here then remain (though I did notice Paul flit though a few months back).

We thank all whose posts mark their interactions, the times we lived through and the memories we left. Somehow, somewhere, eventually, it will have been worthwhile.
Nullius in verba ... ☎||||||||||| ... To Fate I sue, of other means bereft, the only refuge for the wretched left.
When flower power came along I stood for Human Rights, marched around for peace and freedom, had some nooky every night - we took it serious.

Is it really eighteen and a half years since I joined - time flys by too quickly :-(

Whoa...2004. Was it really that long ago? I remember the original crew. There was never a shortage of drama. I wonder what ever happened to some of them like Rob Farrider?

We put a call out for him a while back but there's no sign yet.

But a terrible number are dead, if we carved them on a stone it would be like a war memorial. ForumGarden was never a youthful Internet outpost.

That true...and so sad. I really hate getting old. You should check out my legacy video, though. I posted it in the member's news forum. That makes me feel a bit better....

I really liked Jester / FarRider, disagreed with him on most things but loved discussing our differences :-)

I might agree, a bit, about Far Rider, although I found the full on flirt style a bit bleuurrghhh to be honest. I am a person first and foremost, not a woman to be flirted with online. Unless its Nomad. That's different

Flirtation is not high on my list of attainments. Nor conversation, really. I shall, if I may, blame my incomprehensible schooling.
