A lot of people hate being retired.
Me, I kinda like it. A friend, who retired some years back once said, "I've been so busy since I retired, I don't know how I ever had time to work, before."
I can't say I like the reduction in income, all that much, as it has severely impacted my choice of cuisine, and my options for travel, but one must adjust.

As you say, the loss of income takes a lot of getting used to but the biggest change for me was living full time with my wife - for the last eight years at work I was living in London most of the time and seeing my wife at weekends.LarsMac wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 5:02 pm A lot of people hate being retired.

Since I was working from home, that was seldom an issue, though when I was traveling a lot, she seldom wished to come with. (and then complained that I was never home. I do miss the company paid travel, though.
