Dames and Knights....god help us all

Post by fuzzywuzzy »

Prime Minister Bob Hawke got rid of English based titles like knights and dames in the early eighties stating that Australia was no longer a colonised settlement and we didn't need them anymore. Prince Cahrles and the Queen agreed. Basically Australia was growing up . Woohoo we've let go of the apron strings of mother England and we're off into the big wide world.

SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

current Prime Minister (Mr budgie smuggler) just brought it back in. So back to the old drawing board. Apparently around four a year will be given out.............double sigh .

So I'm now dubbing myself Dame Lady Baroness Princess Queen Megan

Has a nice ring to it I think, and I shall refer to you all as your Sir and Dame titles

BUDGIE SMUGGLER!!!? And they let a person like that be Prime Minister? OH THE HUMANITY!!! Oh wait, it's possible that those words don't carry the same connotation they do in America. Ummm...just what is a "budgie" and why would it be bad to smuggle it?

Or is that his actual name? Which would seen rather strange...

Excellent milady! (Saint bows graciously) All Hail Dame Lady Baroness Princess Queen Megan, Her Most Exalted and Regal Majesty!

I shall refer to you all as your Sir and Dame titles

Thanks you. "Sir Saint" sounds a bit weird, so "Sir Jonathan" will suffice.

There isa lot lost in translation...............suffice it to just give you a LINK you might be surprised, no budgies or smuggling are involved.

Oh and budgie is a shortened version of budgerigar
I thought I knew more than this until I opened my mouth

~shudders~

THAT, Sir John is what a 'budgie smuggler' is ..........a pair of 'speedos' on a very ugly man. Notice it looks like he's trying to carry around a small parrot in his underlings?

He's a decrepid meglomaniac and it's about time he took the Harold Halt route out to sea.
