Banks Have It So Good.
I ordered a single check book from my bank the other day. When my driver returned he handed me not one but two check books. I immediately telephoned them and told the lady I spoke to that they had sent me two check books instead of one.
"Well," she goes, "you must have ordered two."
"No," says I, "I ordered only one."
"Well two have been printed," she goes, "so there's nothing that can be done."
"Well I hope you are only going to charge me for one." I say.
"No you will have to pay for both."
Tuff titty. So that's that. Nothing I can really do cos, unlike the rest of business, banks have no need to send out bills, they just deduct what they figure we owe them from our funds which are in their bank.
I'm not one to advocate the "occupy Wall Street" thingee, but isn't it time we brought home the simple fact to banks that without us, the customer, they would have to pay their CEO's half a gazillion bucks instead of a gazillion?

Banks Have It So Good.
Banks all round have a bad name but I sincerely can not praise mine enough... Santander.
I received a letter just before Christmas from my car Insurance company telling me that some customers had been the subject of errors In the direct debit department. I won't bore you with It all but they seriousley messed my account up. The company offered me a poxy £35 compensation which I laughed at and demanded more... and got It.... but meanwhile my bank covered every standing order and direct debit with no charge.

Bourgeois peeeg!!!
Yeah, they do have it quite good. I read the other day they take loans from the government for virtually nothing and invest it in companies moving over seas.

So this is what banks do.
They take massive risks
They lose their money
They get the governments to bail them out
Then they say they need high salaries and bonuses to ‘retain’ talent..
Retain talent??
For feck sake, I could easily bankrupt a bank and country.. what kind of talent is needed for that??
