Dwelling on this will not serve any useful purpose. What we need to do now is to make sure that this does not happen again.
Not to dwell on them, but to never forget what we are capable of doing to each other.
I suggest that whether you memories of the fifties are good or bad may depend on which end of the fire hose you were on.
