Airport Security seems to leave a lot to be desired! For the second time this past month a "planted bomb" got past (was lost) Airport security screeners. First time was earlier this month when French authorities lost planted bombs that made it on to Airplanes. Now yesterday at Newark NJ Liberty Airport, a "planted bomb" again got past Airport Security screeners, and made it onto an Airplane.
Very scary!!! Does not make one feel too safe on Airplanes!!!

Just flew about 3 to 4 weeks ago. They searched me extensively. They searched all my carryon stuff. Fine.
But, is it true that the checked bags are still not x-rayed? I know they are checking x% by hand - but that seems kind of hit or miss.
