When purchasing a domain you are given choices on if you'd like to take 1 year, 2 years ect and the price for each.

Below this is a section that gives a box that you tick to enable private registration if you want it for an extra $10.

What does this private registration mean, do i need it?

Which registrar are you looking at? There's loads, there's also a lot of pricing and hosting options.

It's best if you know what you want to host first, then find a host that can handle your needs cheaply, then register the domain. The order matters or you'll end up on a host site that doesn't do what you're looking to do.

Private registration means nobody can look up your name and address. Some registrars provide for that without charging extra.

Its weebly, they seem pretty cheap, give you templates, easy to build and don't make you go off to 1&1 or GoDaddy and figure out how to get it all to work together with weebly. In other words they do it all for you.

Thanks for telling me what the private registration means, don't suppose it matters really as if my name and area are on the website anybody could just go to 192 and find me.

What top level domain are you registering (that's something like .com or .org or .uk or .au) - don't tell us the domain name you've decided on, that would cross-reference you through google back to here and you might not want that to happen.

$30+ a year for domain registration is quite a bit but if they're hosting free then I suppose you get more than just registration for your money. The site creation options look pretty good.

The whole thing looks great. Have fun, you've got a good host by the look of it.

Ok i've submitted to google, verified, included a site map and they found me.

Where you click cached beside the listing there is no snapshot of my page and the google link to me takes you to the contact page of my website. Have i done something wrong in webmaster tools for this to have happened? I got the site map code from webmaster tools and inserted it into where weebly told me to as they have the function ready for you.
