I think most people would agree with that. It's different if you find yourself on benefits after losing your job and house after being made redundant as a lot of people are about to experience. The ones most in agreement will be the die-hard labour supporters - the old time socialists not the present crop of crooks and chancers that run labour nowadays.

I have to agree with you. It is a completely different story for any-one finding them-selves out of work but for those who seem to make a career of having children to keep them on benefit, It Is a good message but then having said that, those who do make a career of living on benefits. will not take a blind bit of notice any-way.

I am wondering how far they Coalition will go. Pre-election, when the local Tory Councilors were telling me what they proposed to do If they got In, they told me about another Idea they had which was to cut off any financial help after the second child. The Coalition seems to have already taken steps to carry out their pre-election proposals that my Councilor spoke of so do not be surprised If they cut off help after the second child.

Well in the olden days the kids were taken off them and they all went to the workhouse, the children being sold on to employers as pauper apprentices, I can't see that coming back somehow. That didn't end till the 1940's. Some of your older relatives might remember them.

My concern If the proposal to with-draw help after the second child Is withdrawn, Is that genuine families may be cut short. I think they will need to really think that one through !!!
