Post by the grumps »

hello and welcome once again to the grumpy column

coming live not from grumpy towers but from the local libary ( are you slumming it grumpy ? ED)

i thought i,d see what the rif raff get up to so i took the bentley for a pootle to the local libe and its quite pleasant here .

no oaps no smell of linament its bright airy and i can get a cup of tea and watch the rain p*ss down sorry pour down outside.

JAILED George Michael has received a hand-written letter from Sir Paul McCartney.

Macca wrote to the singer to lift his spirits while he serves time for his drug-fuelled car smash.

George, 47, has served two weeks of his eight-week sentence and could be out on licence in a fortnight from Category C jail Highpoint in Suffolk.

4 weeks for a drug fuelled smash and set to cushy highpoint jail thats just like butlins and i bet he recieves celebrity status in there too.

how is this kind of sentence any deterant ? it just says do what you want you are rich and above the law.

if that had been you or me we would be looking at at least 6 months to a year.

bet no one will get in shower with him though

To lift his spirits ????

If i got a letter from the tedious, sanctimonious Sir Paul, I would be found hanging from my shoe-laces In my cell.

Next he will be turning up with guitar to sing him ' Hey Jude'... ( chorus of na na na nana na na repeat 200 times to string our dreary come-back gig )

I remember when jean Jaques Burnel of The Stranglers was Imprisoned In a French jail In Nice for Inciting a riot and dreary Macca offered his help allegedly. Thankfully The Stranglers have some standards and told him where to shove It.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon
