I am off to the Mall to find a beauty shop with a female that will give me a trim up.
I have always had a female barber, which I prefer to male. I dunno, they seem to have a better touch and way of cutting, or maybe it's just because they smell and look better than a male barber. Maybe it's because as a teenager the woman that cut my hair would have her ponderous breasts resting on my back which delighted me to no end. Whatever it is--------I do prefer female barbers.
How about you? Which do you prefer?

Me too although probably the most professional cut Ive recieved was from a male. It was old school with hot lather and a straight razor on the neck. He sharpened his razor on a leather strap and the cut was perfection.
He spent 45 minutes on me which the cookie cutter places would never do.
I walked out feeling like a million bucks. Still I prefer a female barber.
I just wish they wouldnt talk so much. I like to relax when Im in the chair and talking detracts from that. They never seem to get the hint. The questions are always the same. Live around here? Got the day off? I hate it when people talk to me. Its very annoying.

My hair is an explosion of unruly curls and ive found the afro carribean hairdressers do the best job of cutting / styling it. I've no preferance to male or female, just appreciate anybody willing to take on the mammoth task of sorting it out, mostly i just cut bits myself.
As a hairdresser myself i'd say male clients are pretty easy pleased compared to females but if i get a grumpy one i'll be sure to rub up against his back :wah:
As for chit chat most people enjoy it, tip if you don't - just pick up a magazine and read it.

I have close cropped hair so I do my own with my own professional clippers. As close as I can get.
I remember a story from years ago. A friend of mine told me he got a severe slap across the head from a female hairdresser. She thought there was some "fumbling " going on beneath his gown. All he was doing was cleaning his glasses :yh_rotfl
