So have you ever been taken advantage of?

Today, I get an email from the airline we booked our flight on (6 weeks ago) for us to go South in 6-1/2 weeks. Them saying "our schedule" has changed, and it impacts you. They took "our' non-stop" flight, and re-booked us on their 1-1/2 hour layover flight to Atlanta. Change planes, and

then on to our initial destination. They also moved our seats from the front of the plane, to the very last row two seats!!!

Well, I called the airline and told them that "their change", was absolutely unacceptable to us! So their sales rep, re-booked" us again, on our original non-stop flight!!! I just wonder how many people that they pull that crap on who say nothing, thus allowing the airline to free up the more desirable non-stop flights!



Have you had any similar experiences?

Like you said Cars, how many just accept the changes?

Have you had any similar experiences? Yes... I recently bought a new lap-top, fridge/freezer and some smaller Electrical Items all from the same store. The assistant was so over the top about selling us the Insurence packages that went with them to a point where It was annoying us. We found out later that he got his commission on the packages and not the sales themselves. He was quite upset that we insisted our home Insurence would cover everything and he then went into a lenghty line of how many fridge/freezers of that make he had returned and how many folks had broken their laptops. Hardly good sales tactics. It didn't work with us but I could see other folk ending up with costly packages when their home insurence covered them already.

That is despicable. How can they get away with lieing to people like that?

I hear ya Cars:(



When I was younger and naive, I was told by reps from Aer Lingus that my flight to NY from Ireland was cancelled, and they were putting me and a few others on another flight that would arrive in JFG a few minutes later than the original flight was suppposed to arrive. I had no other choice to accept this as the deal was done, and no one would listen to us complaining.



Little did I know that my flight landed 45 minutes before the original flight....wasn't supposed to....and that we were booted off the original flight because aer lingus wanted our seats for their favorites...:mad: Original flight was not cancelled, but we found that out much later on.



My family had driven to the airport to pick me up and watched my plane arrive but didn't know that I was on it. When we landed, I realized that I had no dollars and no bank was open...had no cell phone also...and no one helped me at JFG. My luggage fell down the escalator and the workmen at the airport just laughed and thought it was funny.



I cannot even begin to explain how crazy JFG airport was on that day. You couldn't hear anything on the PA system and people were so upset and rude to each other.



Luckily, my family did not leave the airport until they found me 3 hours later. Luckily I met my sil in the ladies room.....We were so relieved to find each other.
