Boston Creme.

That's the only doughnut worth eating, imo.

I remember ordering a doughnut once and the cashier handed me a square thing that looked chocolate and had clear icing all over it. I stared at it before giving a look of loathing and announcing "No! A doughnut. I want it round. With a hole in the middle."

apparently I started a movement, that added they wanted little sprinklies on top. I was only confused as to how my doughnut order went astray. I didn't mean to start an anti square doughnut movement. It's twenty years too late but, I apologize to the makers of square doughnuts everywhere. I mean no prejudice. I'm just afraid of what I don't understand.

I was just going to say Boston Creme as well.

When I am back in Toronto it is straight to Tim Horton's for a Boston Cream.

Doughnuts are only really starting to catch on here in Ireland, but they have a long way to go, but what I love here are the Coffee Slices... Mmmmmm

What I do love here is that they always use real fresh cream and not any of that factory 'edibabel oil product' cr@p that fake as cream over there.

There is no comparison once you have a chocolate éclair with real fresh cream.

A friend of mine used to work in a bakery making doughnuts, until he was fired when they found out how he'd been putting the hole in the middle.

I noticed you posted this directly after the knob post... :wah: I'm not so sure I want a doughnut from anywhere right now... and I'm even less sure, after reading Uncle Kram's and Oscar's posts, about my favorite doughnut... the Boston Creme, until I know 100% what's in the cream filling. :-3

That is my favorite donut Gman.:-4 I like the yellowish creme in it, not that white fluffy gunk.

Krispy Kreme's are way too fattening. Wasn't impressed with their Boston Creme either. My fave place is Dot's Donuts in OC, NJ.

I can remember when I was on holiday once consuming a bag of ten freshly cooked doughnuts, washed down with aproximately 8 or 9 beers, then followed by a go on the "Tea cup" ride at the fairground. ummmm.... never again....:yh_sick:wah:

Has anyone ever had the big ass Boston cream doughnut with extra chocolate and cream that they serve at Bouchon Bakery? That doughnut kicks Tim Horton's and Krispy Kreme's ass many times over! :D
