Need Advice for a Lint Problem

I bought a Bobbie Brooks two piece outfit last month. It is made of 85% polyester and 15% cotton. It is turquiose green with a white insert in the front of the top. I washed it once as instructed. Pulled it out of the dryer and there are speckles of white lint all over it. (Danggit) I tried a lint brush, but that does not remove the lint. I rewashed the outfit......still there is lint. I can pick off the lint one speck at a time, but life's too short and I want to wear the outfit again in my lifetime.

The outfit was made in a place called "Lesotho". Before I break open my map of the world, find the place, and trek down there with my outfit in my fists to demand satisfaction................any one have any suggestions?

Any helpful hints would be appreciated, as I look good in turquoise.

Have you taken it to the cleaners? Maybe they can help out. Good luck & I'm sure you look smashing in turquoise.

do you mean a lint brush or a lint roller?

I use lint rollers for cat fur, they are sticky squares of tape and it takes off lint and anything else, although as you said, some needs to be taken off by picking it off by hand, especially some of my sweaters.:-5

If you are using the kind I use, try a stronger tape.

If you can actually pisk off the lint

Use Tape to pick lint off

Masking Tape is best - wrap some around your hand and apply to your outfit -

this should take your lint off.

Have you not considered that the lint is part of the effect intended by the designer which is why it's made that way?

Thanks for the replies! I will go that website you suggested, Jazzy and see if I can find some more suggestions.

I have already used a lint roller and tape, but, as you say, I may need a stronger kind.

Makes me think your white lint is coming from that White Insert.

and the White Insert isn't hemmed/trimmed properly - so you may have to trim/sew that insert.

or

you'll have white lint every time you wash this garment..

"If lint remains on the fabric and cannot be removed with duct tape, use a dry shaving razor and "shave" the clothing. The razor should pick up the rest of the lint."

Hhmmmmm.............Found that hint on the website Jazzy provided. May have to try that.

I use a disposable razor.

If stickytape doesn't work use an ordinary everyday shaving razor just lightly over the fabric. (works with tracky dacks and jumpers as well.
