Barramundi Cactus

Post by Lon »

One of my favorite fish is Barramundi, a really great tasting fish from Australia.

It's a great buy here in California compared to the price of other fish. Frozen of course, but so is every thing else. I cooked up a batch tonight with slices of cactus from my front yard (sans needles).

Looks and sounds delicious Lon. How do you cook this and is this a bony fish? I love fish but don't care for some as they have small bones that I have several times almost swallowed :wah:

I cook the fillets in a skillet with olive oil and diced up cactus. I put different sauces on at serving. No bones at all in the fillets and the taste of of the fish is butterey and slightly sweet.
