I never heard of this desert before going to New Zealand and Australia where this is a very popular desert.

It's a bit like having spotted dick in England or Apple pie in America. It's Iconic.:)

I'm more familiar with the Sahara and Gobi deserts.

Pavlova is a new one for me.

Pavlova is a meringue dessert named after the Russian ballet dancer Ánna Pávlova, alledgedly because it's fluffy white circular appearance was reminiscent of her tulle skirts as she danced. :)

And, of course, to honour her. ;)

Pavlova and wine gums. An alternative combination :wah:

I steer away from a spotted dick.

I do like a baked alaska though. It's greta to make it infront of small children and see the look of horror as you put ice cream into a hot oven.

I've just munched key Lime Pie.... :-4

Would everyone agree that Greek desserts such as baklava suck ?

The Greeks havent done anything really well for over a thousand years.

Lets see a show of hands.

Hear hear----------I don't care for Greek deserts and I am particulary not fond of Tibetan Snow Pea Ice Cream.
