Christmas cookies.

Post by flopstock »

We went shopping and bought the ingredients for cut out cookies and cow pattie cookies tonight.

We made the dough for the cut outs and rolled it out in wax paper, then threw it in the refrigerator ... plan to cut the shapes and bake them in the morning..

here's my question: how thick should the dough be? do these things swell or kinda wilt as they cook?:-2

On the up side here, my kitchen is cleaner then it has been in ages:D... we cleared out the fridge and baking stuff cupboard and started fresh with everything...
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6

I would think that if you use self raising flour (or a raising agent) then yes they will swell.

I would also say that you should cut them into cookie size thickness.

Hope that helped. :D
