Stuffed Artichokes

Post by flopstock »

Someone at work mentioned eating artichoke hearts right out of the can and I asked if they had ever had stuffed artichokes.. they hadn't.

I made them years ago, a real simple recipe and the whole family would eat them..

olive oil, garlic, pepper and breadcrumbs

soak the artichokes upside down in water, then spread out the leaves a bit... snip off the tips and pick up a handful of stuffing and fill all the crevices.

All that was left to do -was put them in a covered saucepan with about an inch or so of water for a half an hour or so and then we'd sit there pealing the leaves and scraping the goodies off with our teeth..

YUM!:-4

Anyone have any good ideas to share?
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Does anyone Dip the Artichoke in Mayo ?

I love marinaded artichoke hearts & marinaded mushrooms over a wonderful Salad.

The marinade is the dressing - Delish

I found marinaded baby corns - they're great too.

I don't care for artichoke freshly steamed etc.. Try the Marinaded.

My Mom loved Artichokes, just cooked in water as stated

she would Dip her's in Mayo

Buy the other Catalina sounds good.

My husband wouldn't eat them & I never aquired a taste for just scraping a leaf of a Artichoke.?

I'm going to buy one - perhaps my taste has changed - with Catalina...

Sounds Good
