1 lb porkloin? Think I may have bought too large of a crockpot which of course I'll use for company.

Tin of Oxtail Soup

Stewing Steak...diced.

Carrots

Onion

Celery

Potatoes

Swede

All chopped up

Barley..... Butter Beans and Lentils

Mixed Herbs

Tin of Tomatoes

Worcester Sauce

Garlic if liked

Some water

SaltPepper to taste

This is my own recipe and any of the above can be left out if you dont like it...I also tend to boil the carrots and potatoes up for a couple of minutes before I put then into the Slow Cooker as I have found they come out softer....but of course this is not a must.....you can add some dumplings also if you wish halfway through cooking.......lovely warm winter dish to come home to;):-4

SLOW COOKED BROWN SUGAR APPLES

6 Apples, cored

3/4 cup orange juice

1/2 cup apple cider

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

Optional: Whipped topping

Peel a strip around the top of each apple to help prevent cracking. Arrange apples in a slow cooker. In large bowl, combine remaining ingrediants except whipped topping; mix to blend.

Spoon over apples. Cover & cook on low setting 3-4 hours, until apples are tender. Cool slightly and serve warm with whipped topping. Makes 6 servings.
