I am with grh on this one. Tater tots, but nothing beats McDonalds fries when they are fresh and hot.

:wah: IF someone hands me a plate of good cheese fries loaded with bacon bits and some ranch dipping sauce, I cannot say no. It would be a sin. :wah:

But just plain fries or tator tots..I usually pass!

I like my tator tots in a bowl with onions, seasoning salt, shredded cheese, sour cream, bacon bits and sliced olives. Just like my baked potatoes.

I looked it up

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tater_Tots

but then i had to look up hash brown

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_browns

I think they're talking about chips and potato fritters. These are people that eat pancakes for breakfast:-3 or is that canadians?

While we're at it what are grits? We grit our roads but I don't think it is that kind of grit.

They're like hash browns, but shaped more in a ball than a flat cake.

Grits are a southern food here. I don't much care for them. Can't see the point in eating something that has to be mixed with something else to make it taste edible. And I lived in the south as a little girl! :lips:

Tater Tots are commonly found in the U.S. in cafeterias and school lunch-counters, as well as the supermarket frozen food aisle and some fast food restaurants. In Australia, they are known as "potato gems" or "potato pom-poms" (also used in the UK and New Zealand) and "

oven crunchies" in the UK. McCain Foods

Limited calls their line of tater tots Tasti Taters.

aw, GMC...you've never had oven crunchies?? :wah:

Seasoned steak fries. Like joe joes or wedges.

In Tampa because of the Latin community alot of the markets had stuffed potatos. It was a round fist sized ball with seasoned beef on the inside mashed potato surrounding it then fried and crispy on the outside. Yum.

They had a similar thing except it was seasoned crab meat with a breading on the outside then fried. Oh My God !!! Too good.
I AM AWESOME MAN
