Pet Insurance

Post by Adam Zapple »

I am considering pet insurance for my new puppy. Just wondering if any of you have bought it and whether it was a good investment for you and your pet.

Thanks Wendy, that confirms what I had been thinking. I mainly needed confirmation that the insurance actually paid out as it promised and as you expected. Animals, besides the various medical problems they can suffer, can get themselves into some real binds. I was watching E-vet Interns on Animal Planet last night and this boxer had swallowed crazy glue. He had a softball size mass of glue obstructing his stomach. You never know what you pet is going to get into.

I'd love to hear more stories of how insurance improved the medical care options for your pets.

It might be worth checking with someone who has pet insurance in the USA - When I first got here they did not seem as good as UK Policies. But I did only look into 1 or 2 - I would also be interested to hear of anyone who has found a good policy over here - I have 2 dogs and 2 cats - so it would be worth me getting

Pet Insurance

My little girl Raspberry's had specialist treatment on three seperate claims, all to the tune of about £3500.

If i had'nt had the insurance i'd have found the money from somewhere, but having it gives you one less thing to worry about when you're upset about your pet.
