The Lonely Doll

Post by valerie »

Has anyone read this child's book? Did you have a copy of your own?

Do you still?

I am just learning about it and somewhat amazed that I didn't read it

at some point...

It was on bestseller lists so I am curious how widespread it was...

Is http://www.powells.com/biblio?isbn=0805076123 the book you're refering to? No, I've not seen that. If you find one and read it, will you come back to the thread and expand on what you find?

That is the book I am just now reading... about the author of The Lonely Doll.

I wondered if anyone had read her books.

Dr. Seuss's Cat In The Hat was number 1 on the best seller lists at the

time The Lonely Doll was on there, I'm thinking that might possibly be

why I missed it? The author did the photographs, also, and her mother

was a portrait artist. Pretty dysfunctional family, as it turns out.
