River House

Post by bobmielke »

This was one of those "Kodak Moments" I spotted on a motorcycle ride with my friend, Warren. We were exploring new roads across the Columbia River in Washington. We were both leaned into a curve along highway 4 near Longview when I spotted this scene flash in my view for a split second. I determined I had to return on another day to photograph this scenic view. I did so early the next morning just as the sun was rising. I was fortunate that day because there wasn't much fog that morning. I've returned to that same spot a dozen times since that first photo and it always looks different. It's a great location.

I seem to be able to capture the mood of a place. I've always had it and praise God for it too.
