The Miracle of Life Part 2

Post by OpenMind »

Not enough research has been done on the human body at the quantum level. But, it would appear as though every thought we have, every act of volition we take, creates energy at the quantum level. Try and imagine, if you will, how a memory recalls a scene from the past. There aren’t any video cells in the brain. Memories are created through electrical energy transmitted via synapses. Electromagnetic energy.

Likewise, emotions are electromagnetic energy. Whether they are happy or sad emotions, the circuits used are the same. Only the polarity changes.

Mass is dependent on energy for its existence. Subsequently, we are energy beings. It is not so extraordinary, therefore, that our energy alignment, at any given moment, will determine our perspective of life, how we think, how we feel, and the choices we make.

There are those people in this world who exude energy. They are positive of mind and big-hearted. They have a strong faith that everything will work out. People are drawn towards them like moths to a light. This is an example of electromagnetic energy at work.

The idea that we are energy beings is not a new concept. The Shamans and the Taoists developed the idea that Ch’i (energy) is in everything, in heaven, the earth, the void and the non-void. Ch’i also has two polarities, yin (negative) and yang (positive). In Hinduism, also, we find the Kundalini System. In this system, the body consists of energy vortices called Chakras, each of which has a special relationship with the body and through which energy flows. In the Ch’i system, the aim is to bring both the forces into balance. On the other hand, In the Kundalini system, the aim is to allow the Kundalini (energy), visualised as a serpent, to flow from the ground and upwards to the crown of the head in order to reach a state of Nirvana.

Both of these systems, between them, acknowledge that energy is both static and flowing. The dynamism of energy is important to both of them, as is the interchangeability of positive and negative forces (in quantum physics, this is achieved by way of the weak nuclear force).

By stilling the mind, we can achieve a balance of the two forces. By relaxing the body, we enable energy to flow through the body without obstruction.

The Kundalini system also allows for growth and sees how each major chakra is developed from childhood upwards in accordance with our experiences. There are seven major chakras and this philosophy is represented in both the Jewish and Christian faiths insofar as they each acknowledge seven significant stages of development in our lives from birth to death.

Thus, in order to live our lives happily, it is not a case of trying to be positive, as this means fighting the negative. We have to accept the negative aspect of our lives equally to the positive, whichever form that takes. With the Kundalini system, we can learn to understand the effects of stress. Whereas a certain level of stress is important in order for us to be able to function, excessive stress, be it positive or negative, blocks the flow of energy through the body. Excessive stress is characterised by strong emotions, illness, or disease.

This is not an argument for or against the existence of God; it is an appreciation of the life around us. You can stand back and marvel at it all, or you can just take it as a matter of fact.

Personally, I am amazed that, out of energy and particles – dust if you like – that all manner of creatures have been created that have the desire to reproduce themselves. This is a cloud of dust doing this. Nothing more, nothing less. Of course, it may have been an accident – "Whoops, look at what we’ve just done!" But the complexities involved at the quantum level to achieve sexual reproduction is amazing considering that it is just dust, albeit, electromagnetic dust. Yep, life is nothing less than a miracle.
