Perseid is coming!
No matter where you live worldwide, the 2013 Perseid meteor shower will probably be at its best on the nights of August 11 - 12 and/or August 12 -13. Before the dawn viewing is best. From northerly latitudes, you often see 50 or more meteors per hour, and from southerly latitudes in the southern Hemisphere, perhaps you'll see about one-third that many meteors.
So be sure to look up and watch the skies!

Me too.
Latest forecast is clear, setting the clock now for a early waking.

Cool! Dilemma - to drive a little farther up the mountain for a wider view, but risk having the city lights below spoil it, or to stay in my secluded valley where I know that it will be dark.

Thanks for posting this Lady J. I've been waiting for days for this event. It's cloudy here also. I did pull up the camera, but it also looks cloudy below. Hope it all clears up.
I'm ready though...will be going out later to view the shower.....er...hopefully.

I agree Kathy Ellen...way too cloudy here
Last night was a little better but didn't really see much.
Sigh...they are calling for rain here tomorrow. Guess it is a wait again till next year.

I stayed up until about 3 am watching them and my girlfriend reported there was an enormous group of people on The Sussex Downs last night camping out all night.
