Me too, Chonsi. We were at school and they allowed us to watch this event as history was in the making. Gee, I'm getting all nostalgic now.

Yes, the only time TV's were allowed in school was to watch space flights.
I used to get up at 4 in the morning to watch them lift off. All of my brothers and sisters did, we loved it, and still do!

I was only two years old in July of 1969.. I have read though.. that the entire thing was staged at a remote location in New Mexico. I'm not sure that I believe that rumor though.
