Thanks Abbey, guess I just didn't stay with it long enough... I need to

get my research chops down better... or maybe not!

Don't suppose I'll ever see the movie, either. Oh well.

It sure is! Napolean Dynamite. My eldest son loves that movie. You either hate it or love. No in between.

Oh, and I love the movie too! :D

Don: Hey, Napoleon. What did you do last summer again?

Napoleon Dynamite : I told you! I spent it with my uncle in Alaska hunting wolverines!

Don : Did you shoot any?

Napoleon Dynamite : Yes, like 50 of 'em! They kept trying to attack my cousins, what the heck would you do in a situation like that?

Don : What kind of gun did you use?

Napoleon Dynamite : A freakin' 12-gauge, what do you think?

Napoleon Dynamite : Well, will you do me a favor then? Can you bring me my chapstick?

Kip : No, Napoleon.

Napoleon Dynamite : But my lips hurt real bad!

Kip : Just borrow some from the school nurse. I know she has like five sticks in her drawer.

Napoleon Dynamite : I'm not gonna use hers, you sicko!

Kip : See ya.

Napoleon Dynamite : Ugh! Idiot!

Deb : What are you drawing?

Napoleon Dynamite : A liger.

Deb : What's a liger?

Napoleon Dynamite : It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

High literature and dialogue for sure!

And another thing ;) - did you know that it won Best Picture at the MTV Movie Awards?

"The star of "Napolean Dynamite" won for Male Breakthrough Performance and Best Musical Performance. To top it all off, "Napolean Dynamite" won MTV Movie Award honors for Best Picture."

yep confiming with ya there.

Gawd it is one stupid movie, but it grows on you. It is about the biggest looser on the planet. But you just have to sit back and laugh at the sheer stupidity of it all. Pedro was a secondary character with no hope in hades of being voted as anything but they had him run for school council. Funny. Yep my youngest loved it. Some of the catch phrases if used enough to stretch beyond annoying are funny.

Napoleon Dynamite Culture Shows Up At National Spelling Bee

One of the funniest moments of the 2005 National Spelling Bee (it was on ESPN) was when contestant Dominic Ranz Ebarle Errazo, before spelling his word, blurted out in his best Napoleon Dynamite voice:

“Do the chickens have large talons?”

The knowing kids in the audience laughed, but the adults were puzzled. The TV commentator said something like, “I wonder if he’s giving some kind of code.”

I LOVED that movie. The Uncle reminded me of a lot of people where I live. And that guy could DANCE. Sure, he did it in moon boots. But he was freaking awesome.
