My Favorite War Hero

Post by telaquapacky »

Desmond Doss, PFC was an Army medic in WW II and the first conscientious objector ever to be awarded the congressional medal of honor for valor in combat, and he never touched a weapon.

Check out the trailer for the documentary film about this remarkable man at

The film is called “The Conscientious Objector.” I found the film and Doss' story very impressive.
Look what the cat dragged in.

Of the only three victoria crosses awarded with bar two were won by medics for saving lives rather than taking them
