i'm not too sure that this post belongs in this forum, but since it has to do with movies i am goign to put it here.

People everywhere are upset by what is happening in TV and in the movies. They don't think that what is being protrayed should be. In any form, in any media.

They way I see it; movies are like veggies. Try to follow me here.

when you go to the market/grocery store you head down the first isle which is the vegetable isle. You are standing there looking at everything trying to remember what to get.

Oh, right. my husband/wife loves cabbage. so you pick up some cabbage. and the kids, well they love carrots. so you grab a butt-load of carrots. and hey, well I love broccoli. so you snag some.

Still walking down the row you come across califlower. nobody in the family likes it. so, you don't pick any of it out. you leave it there.

Movies are like that. A movie or TV show is targeted at a specific demographic. Some people will see it and say, "Damn! that was cool."

and others will say, "Damn! turn that crap off."

They usually go around raising a stink trying to get that Network or Studio to stop showing the movies or Programs.

But they don't go up to their gorcer and start cussing him out for sellng califlower.

If you don't like it, don't watch it.

But don't try to take away the choice for others to see it. Let them make up their own mind.

Just my "Iowa-Hick" opinion.

that wasn't what I was trying to say. I meant that if "you" don't like something then don't buy it, watch it, or read it. those that feel it necessary to protest everything (Janet's Boob for example) then quit watching that particular station. or don't go see any movie that a certain director made or that was produced by a certain movie studio.

don't go to Congress and Capital Hill and try to get laws passed to effect some sort of change. "you" want to make a difference? hit them in their bank account.

but don't try to change something on my behalf. i didn't ask "you" to.

Plantains should be arrested for impersonating bananas.

I wholeheartedly agree. We don't need the gov't for censorship. Look at Grand Theft Auto. They found out it might have porn. Retailers knew their customers would blow a gasket. The game is off the shelves. No legislation, no arrests, no lawyers got paid. God Bless Capitalism.

Grand Theft Auto is easily available, just look at Amazon.

My daughter works in a video store, it is still one of the hottest games to rent out.
