R.I.P. Anne Bancroft

Sorry to hear of the death of Oscar-winning actress Anne Bancroft who has died aged 73 from cancer.

Wasn`t she just GREAT, especially in things like The Graduate?

I always thought she was one very sexy woman, and in my youth, I would fantazise that I was Dustin Hoffman in the "Graduate".

Many years ago, I worked at a post-production facility and

spoke to Ms. Bancroft a few times when she called her

husband, producer Mel Brooks. She would say "This is Anne

Bancroft" but there was no mistaking that voice. She was

very gracious, and didn't make me feel like a peon even

though I really was.

Amazing that she and Mel Brooks were married so many years,

(I've heard conflicting reports, one said 1956 one said

1964) especially in the business they were in.
