There we go! Hmm...time to get obscure...

These are both from the same movie:

"Teriffic. I'm about to get killed a million miles from nowhere with a gung-ho iguana who tells me to relax."

"Alex! Alex! You're walking away from history! History, Alex! Did Chris Columbus stay home? Nooooo. What if the Wright Brothers thought that only birds should fly? And did Galoka think that the Ulus were too ugly to save?"

What is it?

Mwahahaha. Good luck!

LOL. Good one!

"The Last Starfighter"

How about this Vampire flick:

Ha! Classic. "Near Dark".

Which sadly came out at the same time as "Lost Boys", and summarily was almost forgotten. Though, in my opinion, "Near Dark" was the better film...

Whoa. You're good dude. And you're right, it's by far scarier and cooler.

OK, since we're in Sci-fi mode here's one:

Journey to the Center of the Earth, I would assume. As for which movie version it is, you've got me...though I'm guessing its the James Mason version.

My turn again (and another obscure one): "Your tongue is old, but sharp, Cicero. Be careful how you wag it. One day it will cut off your head. "

Actually, that probably isn't enough. Here's another one from the same movie:

"How dare you and the rest of your barbarians set fire to my library? Play conqueror all you want, Mighty Caesar! Rape, murder, pillage thousands, even millions of human beings! But neither you nor any other barbarian has the right to destroy one human thought!"

I had to cheat and look up exactly how that longer quote was worded :)

The fact that you even know about the James Mason version is impressive (by far the best version), and yes that was it.

My turn again (and another obscure one): "Your tongue is old, but sharp, Cicero. Be careful how you wag it. One day it will cut off your head. "

Actually, that probably isn't enough. Here's another one from the same movie:

Damn you got me on that one....I originally thought it was "Spartacus" Then I leaned to "The Name of the Rose", the only movie I know of where a library burned, and finally I was guessing, "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" or "The Last Days of Pompeii."

But you stuck me. I had to google it to find out it was "Cleopatra" The 1963 extravaganza, directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz,

You get to go again!

but you have to wait till tomorrow for me to answer 'cause I'm outta here! School's out! :wah:

An older film but a goodie: "Have you checked the children?"
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group that believes you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas millionaires, or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."
