I snuck off with a few friends this morning and we went to the movies. Saw Mao's Last Dancer - which is awesome. T

There's an except here

This movie looks wonderful. Will try to see it or rent it when it's on DVD.



I also have Dogma in my netflix queue....This weekend I'm going to watch

Grey Gardens...looks interesting.

I don't know that film, Kathy - just looked at your link and then a few others though. I'll be interested to hear how you went with it. Interesting.

I'll also look forward to your comments on Dogma !!!!

Saw it last saturday Pammy wasn't it a lovely film. At one point after the "major performance" I almost applauded. God I felt like a twit, but I thought it so beautiful and got a bit carried away.:wah:

Can I ask how you felt about the final shot of the film? does it look familiar to you? From a historical pictorial sense?

Absolutely. The two dancers arms outstretched toward the future in heroic pose with the red flag in the background. Lenin? A vodka commercial? Where???????? Statue somewhere??? All of the above???
