Nosferatu released in 1922. It's a take off Bram Stoker's Dracula. But that's about the only one.

Hmmm-----------guess you have never seen the Keystone Cops or Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplan--------some comedy needs no sound.

Despite my age (74)-----Charlie Chaplan, Keystone Cops and Buster Keaton were all before my time, as were all the silent films. But as a kid we would laugh it up watching 8 mm films that our parents would play (before TV).

All three of these guys are available on You Tube and will give you an idea of comedy prior to sound (music soundtrack though). Works best if you have a broadband connection.

I will almost guarantee you a laugh.

I've liked some of them. I remember seeing the Keystone Cops reruns on Sunday mornings as a kid and thought they were a hoot.

Silent movies are easy to get lost in if the story is good. It's sort of like Opera, you might not know what they're saying but it can be very entertaining.
When choosing between two evils, I always like to take the one I've never tried before.
