For me I think I'd have to say:
The Exorcist
IT- always gives me a good scare and nightmares.
Halloween.. love the orginal- but can't wait to see Rob Zombies version
Hocus Pocus is a cute one too.
I'm not to good with horrors as I said on another thread but I don't mind Hocus Pocus and does Beetlejuice count as one??

My friends and I took the bus into New York and waited on line in the FREEZING cold for 4 hours. We finally go into the theater and found seats. 2 of us ran to the ladies room, and when we returned there were 2 people sitting in our seats. They told us that they'd rip our eyes out if we bothered them, so we sat in the aisle scared out of our wits....monsters on the screen and monsters in our seats:wah:

Don't forget Carrie, and some classics: Nosferatu (silent), and The Picture of Dorian Gray. Good stuff, Maynard.
Also, Audrey Rose, Burnt Offerings and Rosemary's Baby.

I agree with both of these, The Exorcist for scary and beetlejuice for funny.

I remember watching Rosemary's Baby as a child - I couldn't sleep for days - scared the crud out of me back then

"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight', people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson
