The Da Vinci Code

Post by Amie »

I saw this yesterday. I enjoyed it. I think it told the story in 2.5hours as best that it could. The ending was even more cheesy than the books ending though, and I didn't like that.

There was a few parts I don't recall being in the book also, but I guess that's Hollywood for you.

Overall, it's not a bad way to spend 2.5hours on Saturday afternoon.

I saw the film as well and found it entertaining. I did like the book better. I can't remember a book ever kicking off so much residual attention via The History Channel. For two weeks there have been continual shows on "Opus Dei", "The Knights Templar", "Masonry", "Leonardo" etc. Much ado on other channels as well. Amazing how many of a religious bent are outraged by the film and how many don't realize the book is a work of fiction.
