Are you a Sci-Fi or Fantasy Fan?

Post by spot »

I'm trying to decide whether Conan the Barbarian qualified as Fantasy or not. Probably not. It gave me considerable respect for James Earl Jones though.

Science Fiction has to be the option that works best. Firefly, for example, was one of the best things I've seen produced for TV in years.

I've always considered science fiction/fantasy to be two sides of the same coin.

Even defined separately you're blurring the lines of the genre.

I love both, which makes me a sci-fi/fan fan! hehe :D

And I love reading the genre as well as watching the films.

Have you read any Piers Anthony? Stephen Donaldson is good too. ;)

While I do enjoy both, I do prefer Sci-Fi of the two. And I agree with you Nihi Fifth Element is one of the best films I have ever seen, and must have watched it about a million times!

Did you see that new release "Sound of Thunder?" It just came out on DVD. It was kind of low-budget, but these days that still means awesome computer effects. It was based on a short story by Ray Bradbury, so how can you go wrong?:D
