Something like....Tim Robbin's escaping from Shawshank, perhaps? .

Positive life affirming stuff please, Gardeners....and not things like, er, I might post.

One of mine:

The bit where they steal the fishing boat in "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest" as the camera pans slowly from left to right, they actually do look like doctors on a boat trip. :)

How about "Death Wish" with Charles Bronson. Didn't everyone in the theatre cheer when he started blowin away the bad guys. RETRIBUTION for the rape and murder of his wife and daughter.

Grand Canyon...in the end of the film the characters exited the car, walked to the edge of the precipice, and saw. The beginning, the end, and all that life is in one silent moment as they gazed out over the raw beauty, I think they understood everything there is to understand, a moment of clarity, if only breifly.

A colleague told me he came home from work to find his wife and daughter bawling their eyes out. Concerned, he asked them what was wrong.

"It's Lassie" they both wailed. "She came home - waa!" He nearly LEFT home!

Snooze, I read "The Incredible Journey" about 30 times as a kid. I LOVED that book! The movie was pretty good, but the book was 1,000 times better.

I really like the scene in "The Green Mile" when the main character takes his lady friend to the shack hidden in the woods and meets Mr. Jingles. Tear up every time...:o

Question: Am I Thelma, or Louise?

I got to this too late! People have already said mine!!

But I have one... in the movie The Black Stallion, (there's quite a few,

but this one in particular) where Alec finds The Black all tangled up and

takes his knife and cuts him free...

(Clancy do you know I never learned about Oskar Schindler in school?)

Or when Chief Broom tears up the machine from the tub room and throws

it out the window and runs away...

(My voice is in a scene in Cuckoo's Nest!!)

It was one of the few movies that I bought, I liked the soundtrack with the boys choir and everything. Creepy John Malcovich. I never picked up on the kamikaze thing I just thought he was crazy about the airplanes, I'm going have to watch that again.:-3
