well 'crash' took the best picture oscar. i still think wallace and gromit should have! but they got best animation. :) ..................."Crash," which wove plots and characters from different racial and economic backgrounds in Los Angeles, was awarded best picture honors in Sunday's Academy Awards ceremony. Ang Lee was named best director for "Brokeback Mountain." Philip Seymour Hoffman was best actor and Reese Witherspoon earned best actress.

I thought Jon Stewart did a great job as host. I watched the first hour till things got rolling. After that, the host usually stays backstage. but the parts I saw, Stewart was definitely worth watching. Very funny.
