With apologies to Robert Browning, who unlike me never had a girlfriend called April ...

Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire. Isn't there just a touch of class in a Jaguar?

I love Rye. Me and the Memsaab visit when we can and have stayed in most of the establishments. It makes for a very pleasant weekend away

The most modern looking car there is the red one. That looks to be a TR4 and they started production in 1961. All of the other vehicles look older so very early 60's would be my guess.

The dresses would suggest the same or slightly earlier.

Looks a bit like a sunbeam alpine to me, though I guess it could be either

It could very well be - they were very similar from the back.

Having just looked at some pictures of both I think you might be right - the TR4's rear bumper wrapped further round towards the wheel arch.

Same sort of period though, the Alpine started in 1959 which would, I think, fit better with the dresses.
