My stove is gas & was new in 1952, made by Slattery Stoves of Brooklyn. 4 burner. White. Came with this apartment, built 1952. All new appliances. Refrigerator died decades ago.

Great stuff Annie! My Gran had a massive Aga stove in her kitchen ... cream enamel finish with kinda lift up "covers" over the plates. Burnt anthracite as I recall and there was always a coffee pot on it with real ground coffee! Come winter when we visited her she used to seat us down in front of it with a mug of her homemade soup clutched in our hands ... sigh.
