When WE were Newbies
Remember when we first came to Forum Garden, and introduced ourselves?
I invite you seasoned Forum Gardeners to locate your first post, permalink it, copy it and paste it here. Has anything changed in your life since then?
Here's mine. :wah: That was just over 4 years ago!

Instead of a Winnebago, we now have a Jayco Fifth Wheeler.
Instead of a motorcycle, we now have a boat.
Hubby and I are still the same, just a little older.

This was my first post #4
There wasn't many members back then, lovely Peg was the first to welcome me aboard. :-4
I definitely have changed, I'm not as gullible was a lot more fun, and four and a half years younger!

Hi. My name's Peg and I'm a forumholic. I go by Peg which is a shorter version of Peg Bundy, my way of saying Married With Children. This site seems pretty nice so expect to see a lot of posts from me. I'm upfront, straight forward, so don't ask anything if you may not like the answer. I like to have fun and joke around a lot. It takes a while, but you all will get used to me.
I'm still a forumholic, still married with children.
That was August 24, 2004
I really don't have a large post count for the years I've been here.
My signature back then was: My husband said he needed more space. So I locked him outside. -- Roseanne

This isn't my first post----For some reason I can't find it--but here is one from 2005.
A Special Ship For Seniors
There are any number of special living arrangements for seniors depending on their finances, health and preference. How about a ship, equipped with small apartments, complete with state of the art medical facilities. Younger or more fit seniors would be in the front of the ship where there would be a pool, jogging track, gym, dance floor etc. The middle of the ship would be for less active seniors with more limited activities like crocheting, reading, chess etc.
The aft of the ship would carry the seniors with diminished capacity. This would be more of a Hospice arrangement with a crematory at the extreme aft. Creamated remains scatted at sea, or, you could even have a "Soylent Green" facility.

This as my first post and Abbey was the first to reply. I think on the whole its still fairly civilised here. Things get heated from time to time but not OTT and some of the replies and support from other members is fantastic.
Hi
I found this site by chance and it seems nice enough. Ive previously posted on the forums at Orange but I cant stand the nasty behaviour there any more, every comment results in a personal attack of one sort or another, Ive read through some of the posts here and it all seems civilised...so heres hoping..
Im English, kinda, Ive lived in the Netherlands for a long time but its still sometimes nice to just be in touch with English speaking people.

Well, the bells not ringing any more. We are fortunate to have both good health and the financial resources to travel extensively and enjoy our varied interests. Living for half the year abroad these past 11 years has been a fantastic experience.

Hi, I'm Qsducks (my kid is a rubber duck collector, hence the name) - Live in a small town right outside of Philadelphia, PA - Go Eagles & Phillies, but most of all I'd love to see the Boston Red Sox win the World Serious again! Full time mom/everything to 4 kids 6 to 18 all still at home/school. Married to a Simon Cowell look alike and the only difference is my "Simon" is nicer and funnier.
Dabble in arts/crafts, yard sales etc. Fave color is blue, fave food is Cheesesteaks - the REAL KIND from the Philly Area (Pat's & Geno's), vacation in Ocean City, NJ (Weird Week participant every year). Love to have fun in general and glad to have these boards as an outlet to explore and have a good time with people. I already know several people here, so it's nice to meet everybody.
Still collect rubber ducks, go to yardsales, etc. Laura has since moved onto college and working full time and the other 3 are getting ready to bump up to the next grade in Sept. Hubs is still working. No Weird Week this year...going to Ireland instead. Must say, I've met a load of wonderful peeps here on the FG.:-4

I love Mickey D fries:-4. No, they give you a paper plate to do the art work on. I don't think you want to attempt building it with salt water taffy in August:wah:

There was a subtle underlying tone indicating you were an eternal world damnation supporter.
