big mags the scottish heroin dealer refuses free home the AA grumpy column

Post by pantoandy »

hello and welcome back to grumpy towers on this wet and windy sunday evening .

the baby is in bed and im home alone so i thought its time to bash out another rant.

who says crime doesnt pay?

read this and i think you will find it does.

STROPPY crime clan queen Big Mags Haney is refusing to move into the free home she got after being freed from jail — claiming it’s too DIRTY.

The convicted heroin dealer visited the pad following her release on Monday, but spent less than a minute inside before stomping out.

The nagging 66-year-old complained to the council, and says she won’t live there until it’s cleaned and painted.

We revealed on Tuesday how Haney was freed after serving half her 12-year term for running a huge drug-dealing empire.

Grateful

Last night a pal of her family said: “You would have thought after spending all that time behind bars she would have been grateful for anything — but not Mags.

“She thought the place was too dirty and asked for it be cleaned before she moved in, which the council agreed to.

“The home she was given is small, but probably not as small as her prison cell so she should be thankful for whatever she’s given.

“This is going to be a very different way of life for her now on the outside — everyone is just wondering if she’s finally going to manage to keep out of trouble.”

Mum-of-eight Haney was jailed in 2003 after earning £1,000-a-day with the empire run from her cluttered home in Raploch, Stirling.

She was pictured there in 1995 — snapped in front of tacky floral wallpaper and a mantelpiece lined with kitsch antique-style dolls.

Now the council have put her put up a one-bedroom house in nearby Alva, Clackmannanshire. But after her strop she’s moved into her criminal daughter Diane’s home in Clackmannan. Diane, 40, brother Hugh, 36, and Haney’s niece Roseann, 45, were also jailed for their part in the drugs operation.

Yesterday residents near Haney’s new Alva pad told how they were wary of her.

One said: “The last thing we want is a crime clan descending on our doorstep, but as long as she doesn’t cause problems I don’t think people will bother too much.”

Clackmannanshire Council said: “It is not possible to comment on individual circumstances of service recipients.”
